The Topics on which the Contest will Focus:

  1. Next Generation Clinical Interactions – The New “Patient Journey”

The medical profession and practice are facing dramatic changes. The F2F, mainly in a clinical setup – is about to be replaced. Synchronous and a-synchronous tele-medicine technologies are outdated.

  1. Chronic Disease Management & Care Delivery (Osteoporosis / High Risk Cardiovascular Disease – as Models)

Osteoporosis is a medical condition in which the bones become brittle and fragile from loss of tissue, typically as a result of hormonal changes, or deficiency of minerals / vitamins. Cardiovascular events refer to any incidents that may cause damage to the heart muscle. Any interruption of blood flow will lead to an injury, or infarction.
Like other chronic conditions, these are pain free with minor symptoms, the patient can not relate the treatment to tangible outcomes, and awareness is essential for prevention and maintenance.

  1. New Engines – Gathering, Storing, Distributing and Presenting Clinical Data

The new trends of patient’s empowerment come with a multitude of signals produced directly by individuals beside the medical community. These signals present both a chance and a threat to the traditional medical practitioners beyond the issue of Integration with existing EMR.  New tools and approaches are required to promptly handle the overwhelming amount of signals, data and resources.
